At Mellow Early Learning Centre, our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and shaped by how young children learn best through play, relationships, curiosity, and everyday experiences.

Learning is intentional but unhurried, giving children time to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. Throughout the day, learning naturally unfolds through play, routines, conversations, and shared experiences that build confidence and capability.

STEM is part of everyday play at Mellow, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and discovery through hands-on experiences.

Science

Technology

Age-appropriate digital tools and interactive resources support creativity, communication, and early problem-solving.

Engineering

Through blocks, loose parts, and construction play, children design, build, and experiment with balance, structure, and ideas.

Mathematics

Counting, sorting, measuring, and patterns are explored through everyday play, helping children understand numbers in meaningful ways.

School Readiness Programme

Our school readiness programme is designed for children in the Meadows room (4 – 5 years), supporting a smooth, confident, and positive transition to school. We focus on building independence, emotional readiness, early learning foundations, and the confidence to embrace new environments with ease.

Building Skills for Life

At Mellow Early Learning Centre, we also nurture essential cognitive, social, and emotional skills that support children well beyond their early years. Children are gently supported to build confidence, independence, empathy, and emotional resilience in a warm, caring environment.

Through group activities, turn-taking, collaborative play, and daily routines, they learn to share, help others, and build positive relationships with kindness and confidence.

Our Role as Educators

Our educators guide, observe, and support each child’s learning through warm, intentional interactions. They respond to children’s interests and extend learning in meaningful, age-appropriate ways. With patience, care, and strong early childhood knowledge, they create safe environments where children feel confident to explore and grow.
